Job Overview

Action is looking for a passionate communications professional to support clients across the Middle East, based in the UAE. Candidates must have a proven record in B2B campaigns and communications strategies, including social media, and an established knowledge of various industry sectors, including but not limited to aerospace/ logistics/ manufacturing/ technology/ healthcare/ pharma. In addition, they must have strong editorial experience with a passion for news and feature content. Preference is for bi-lingual candidates (Arabic and English).

Industry Knowledge

An established knowledge of various industrial sectors, including but not limited to aerospace/logistics/manufacturing/technology/healthcare/pharma.Experience working on B2B campaigns and communications strategies
Experience in both traditional PR communications and social media strategy, particularly for B2B audiences (i.e. LinkedIn)
Experience managing client activity at events/exhibitions
Strong editorial experience and passion for news and feature content
Bi-lingual in English and Arabic preferred

Job Description

Plan and activate client campaigns and ongoing scope of work
Develop and lead PR strategies from formulation through to execution, aligning them with the client’s key business objectives, and integrating with social media and digital activities
Proactively identify opportunities and suggest creative campaigns that will position the client positively in the media and with its target audiences
Using strong command of written English and, research and draft high-quality, ‘journalist standard’ editorial content (i.e. press releases and features) along with any other written copy required by the client such as Q&As, talking points etc.
Ensure all communications are engaging, relevant, consistent, credible, timely and in the appropriate writing style
Proofreading final materials – including those of your colleagues – for sufficient newsworthiness, as well as the basics of correct spelling, grammar and sentence structure
Establish and build high-level media contacts, securing coverage in a variety of media outlets that are important to clients
Ensure team media lists for clients are kept up to date
Assisting in managing crisis communications
Look for opportunities to grow the client’s scope of work and increase annual fees and revenue
Develop a calendar of events or key occasions both locally and international that are relevant for the client around which to proactively recommend PR and commercial activities
Gathering important information about the marketplace to help determine best opportunities for clients
Keep track of impending deadlines and ensure all work is completed on time.
Liaise with the client and act as key point of contact in support of senior team. Lead client meetings
Supervise other staff and their activity and workload on corresponding clients
Fully participate in internal brainstorming sessions and create workable programmes including proposal writing for new business and existing clients
