Responsibilities
Develop corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics
Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance
Serve as the point of contact for employment relations and communicate with labor unions
Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards
Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics
Skills
Qualifications
Human Resources professional with experience of progressive human resources/organization development experience.
Deep and broad understanding of recruitment , vendor management ,employment law, recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and collaboratively about staff development and training.
Experience selecting, implementing and institutionalizing HR IT systems.
Ability to influence and build credibility at all levels and establish collaborative working relationships.
Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex, decentralized and geographically diverse organizational structure.
Ability to determine and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Superior communications skills, oral and written.
Strong strategic and problem solving skills.
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills as well as strong organizational skills and initiative.
Exposure to interviewing techniques, knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment.
Proficient computer skills – especially Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and HRIS/HRM systems.
Fluency in English required
