Head of HR
Develops HR Strategy based on local and global objectives.
Ensures strategic implementation of Amgen HR operating standards, policies and practices including but not limited to labor law requirements, MAP cycle, Performance Calibration, Talent Management, annual compensation cycle, performance management and workforce planning in KSA.
Creates purposeful Amgen culture for management and staff members
Acts as a lead for development and implementation of HR Strategy and HR Operating Standards in affiliate.
Drives smooth implementation and execution of all HR process, including Performance Management, Talent Management, Annual Compensation Cycle, HR Core Initiatives, MAP cycle.
Act as a center of expertise in HR process and governance aligned with local labor law and tax requirements.
Implements a clear, shared understanding of HR SOP review and assess policies and benefits / rewards on routine basis and assess necessary changes with HR C&B.
Understands Affiliate business model, operating model and key business priorities to ensure HR initiatives add value to Amgen’s local and sub-regional/regional business goals.
Drives all employee lifecycle events – onboarding, hiring, development, retention, employee moves, terminations, payroll, allowances.
Manages organizational scale, productivity, workforce planning and L&B.
Coaches Affiliate MT and all people managers to improve their management capabilities to own Amgen’s human capital development for their department/function.
In collaboration with TA, ensures talent pipelines of internal staff and external candidates for critical roles.
Ensures a clear, shared understanding of HR procedures-policies, and monitors compliance with local regulations
Develops communication plan & actions to create purposeful Amgen culture for management and staff members, mobilizes all staff through alignment initiatives and motivational programs.
Prepares the HR strategic agenda and initiatives based on business objectives
Serves as a role model and resource to others in promoting open, honest and cooperative relationships across the organisation
Demonstrates strategic agility, sets priorities in line with business requirements
Leverages expert HR functional knowledge and continuously expanding business acumen
Mentors other team members in issue resolution and decision making
Coaches on how to communicate effectively; consistently communicates in a manner that is appropriate to the situation
Openly promotes leadership and cooperation across the organisation; actively works to remove barriers to collaboration
Motivates others to change efforts by focusing on shared values and goals
Provides frequent and ongoing feedback that is specific, insightful and timely, works to address gaps in performance quickly and in their earliest stages
Drives for results; encourages decisions, processes and outcomes of the highest quality
Leads by example; demonstrates managerial courage and serves as a role model for the Amgen Values
University Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, HR, or similar degree;
7 or more years of experience covering a variety of HR functions such as rewards, staffing, training, employee relations;
Fluent in both local language and in Arabic and English (both oral and written)
Pharmaceutical experience is preferred but not a requirement
