Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION

 

ü  The Digital & Creative Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of digital media production projects including animations, motion graphics, interactive applications and projection shows related to creative or fabrication. Ensuring all deliverables are created to the quality and standards required by the client and Modelcraft management.

 

ü  You must be able to demonstrate experience in working with a wide range of digital media. The ideal candidate will have worked as a 3D Artist/Animator or VFX/Motion Graphics Artist and moved up into project management through professional development. A basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop will be required as you will be collecting technical references.

 

ü  The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of traditional and digital production skills and have experience of a full project life cycle. You must be a real creative thinker and able to work independently to manage our production teams that span multiple continents and several time zones.

 

ü  Experience in managing a remote production resource and a working knowledge of the processes, issues, communication considerations and methodology of supervising it effectively would be highly advantageous.

 

ü  The digital department produces a wide variety of digital media and experience with projection mapping, Unity, AR, VR, Kinect, 3D displays and holographics. An understanding of technical interactive development is required.

 

ü  An understanding of industry standard formal project management methodologies and software would be advantageous.

 

ü  You must be able to understand how to work with tight budgets and short deadlines both within a team environment and individually. A knowledge of delivering projects in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC is also important.

 

ü  You will be pro-active, good at solving problems and have the ability to work well and communicate effectively with a diverse team of professionals with nationalities of all types.

 

ü  Responsible for the creative output, with oversight of the creative team and creative processes; the ideation, presentation and execution of client branding and marketing communications campaigns; the profitability and creative quality of client projects, and the operational readiness of the creative team, all in fulfillment of our brand promise to our clients.

 

ü  To plan projects from pitch phase through to delivery, oversee the creative process and give guidance to the creative people that work under you. Approve all work created by your team and often work directly with clients to present that work.

 

ü  To ensure the projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high-quality standard. Manage relationships with the client and main contractor as well as with all sub-contractors including the Modelcraft Project Management team. Ensures coordination, delivery and installations of elements are installed in line with the project program.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The principal duties, responsibilities and skills of the Digital & Creative Manager are, but are not limited to:

 

01.   Project Management

ü  Analyze a project brief and break it down using our project programming methodology into organized deliverables for our producers and creative directors

ü  Produce and maintain schedules for all digital and fabrication aspects of a project

ü  Work to ISO 9001 standards making sure our certification is upheld at audit and ensuring all production resources use the correct documentation and forms required

ü  Maintain folder structure on our storage servers and assist the IT team in performing regular backups

ü  Have excellent English skills to be able to communicate effectively with management and production resources all over the world. An understanding of Arabic is mandatory.

ü  Maintain the digital asset library on our storage servers

ü  Art direction and quality control of:

§  Digital media

§  3D media

§  Interactive media

§  Animated & digital film production

§  Post-production

 

ü  Design interactive touch screens for scale models to control lights, present animations and projection shows.

ü  Pitching concepts and storyboard to gain approvals.

ü  Client liaison to evaluate scope of work, project details, to present and review project progress.

ü  Project programing – Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments – Ability to lead projects from concept to completion.

ü  Plan, create and execute project work and to meet changing needs and requirements in managing project developments from beginning to end.

ü  Review of schematics, scheduling of work, information dissemination and implementation of projects, assess resource requirement, deliverables and key targets for international offices involved.

ü  Responsible for overseeing and managing the work and output of the department for all and any digital media requirements.

ü  Directing the creative function so that the environment, culture, team, capabilities, tools, processes, expectations, work style and other elements support the strategic goals and brand of Modelcraft.

ü  To ensure that the creative function operates in an efficient, profitable manner.

ü  To ensure that our high quality of creative and production is upheld, maintaining consistently high standards for yourself and others on the team.

ü  Understand strategic goals and brand; analyze the creative team, environment, processes, technologies, etc., to determine areas needing improvement; and build and direct a creative function aligned with and supportive of those goals.

 

02.   Communication

ü  Communicating effectively and regularly with the senior management ensuring they are aware of all project related status and issues

ü  Communicate with clients and follow-ups

ü  Delivering strategic communication solutions that help our clients attain their marketing and communications objectives.

 

03.   General

 

ü  Occasionally attend training, meetings, conferences or other client or corporate based events as required.

ü  Other duties which may reasonably arise.
