Job Overview

Claims Manager will work under the direction of (and report to) the Head Office.

Duties will include review of contemporaneous records and delay analyses to establish and report on validity of claim proposal, the development of clear and concise claim narratives in coordination with site-based teams and negotiation of claims with Employer’s and the Supply Chain.

Claims Manager will be required to advise Head Office of the strengths and weaknesses of any claims prepared and be able to negotiate reasonable settlement of such claims.

Skills Required

Client facing;

Strong personality;

Excellent analytical skills;

Ability to work as part of a multi-national team;

Working knowledge of FIDIC standard forms;

Excellent understanding of contract law (as applicable to the UAE) and contract administration;

Detailed knowledge and understanding of standard methods of delay analysis;

Working knowledge of primavera planning software an advantage.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Undergraduate quantity surveying degree and appropriate professional membership (MRICS / MCIOB / MCIARB) with 20 years post qualification experience with both contractors and claims consultants required as a minimum.

Middle East experience essential. Exposure to formal dispute resolution proceedings preferred.
