Job Description

The Senior Marketing Manager role will support the Media sector and associated sub-sectors – Business Development, Screen Production, Gaming, Digital Publishing and Industry Learning, responsible for the development and implementation of marketing activities in line with individual sub-sector marketing plans that also reflect the overall Media sector marketing strategy.The Senior Marketing Manager is a strategic role and will take a supporting role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy. The role will involve delivering brand awareness and drive leads for the business development teams.The Senior Marketing Manager will also be responsible for working with 3rd parties that both the sector and brand teams have partnered with to ensure maximum amplification of the sector messaging to target audiences.Background, Skills & QualificationsPlanning implementation and Budget management

  • Understand the overall business and marketing strategy to support and influence the development of individual sub-sector marketing plans/activity
  • Establish and continually develop positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing activity with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, generate demand and convert into leads. Campaigns will likely integrate events, web, paid social, traditional trade print advertising, email marketing, content/film, brochures, PR and eDM
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging both internal and external support and driving collaboration
  • Drive the content development of the Media Industries website, keeping the site up-to-date and relevant
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Identify trade shows and the opportunities that can be leveraged via attendance and or participation. Liaise with Comms and Events teams to ensure successful participation
  • Identify cross sector opportunities that drive awareness and engagement from both consumers and businesses alike
  • Ensure that relevant systems are in place that help the flow of communication across the team
  • Effectively manage project / business performance by planning, coordinating, delivering, evaluating and communicating as appropriate
  • Working in partnership with creative agencies, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-­facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, communicate objectives KPI’s and budgets to senior management
  • Manage the marketing budget and procurement process including costs allocated to agencies and ensure spend levels are maintained within corporate guidelines

Background, Skills & Qualifications

  • Experienced Senior Marketing Manager with 8+ years’ experience in marketing within a top tier company aligned with one or more of the Media Industries sub-sectors
  • A proven track record in brand/creative development and execution in B2B or B2C
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with and a good level of understanding of market research (both qual and quant)
  • An understanding of media industry trends
  • Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas
  • Time and project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • An ability to think strategically and come up with brand awareness/building initiatives
  • Experienced in creative/media agency management and internal stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Broad experience across online and offline integrated marketing channels
  • Brand budget management and procurement systems experience
  • Experience of working in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferable however not mandatory
