SummaryThe role of Security Lead is to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the NEOM and all relevant regulatory security management policies and directives within his / her coverage area.Responsibilities

  • To ensure all Industrial Security work is prepared for, planned and supervised;
  • Ensure maintenance and updating of the NEOM Port Security Management Plan;
  • Ensure implementation of the Neom Port Security Management Security Plan;
  • Organise the systematic supervision, inspection and auditing against:
  • The Neom Port Security Management Security Plan;
  • Affiliate security plans.
  • Ensure that the Security Standards set by the High Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS), NEOM Public Safety and Mawani are adhered to.
  • Advise the HSSE Manager and Security Management Committee on any ineffective aspects of the Neom Port Security Management Security Plan and recommend solutions.
  • Recommend and Obtain commitment via the HSSE Manager for and co-ordinate NEOM Port resources required for security.
  • Recommend required recruitment of security personnel to the HSSE Manager
  • Day to day administration of security duties.
  • Ensure security personnel are trained and competent to effectively carry out their duties and that other personnel receive awareness training.
  • Report and evaluate staff disciplinary issues via the HSSE Manager of individual staff to ensure risks arising, such as sensitive information being taken from Neom Port, are addressed.
  • Compile and Manage security reports for review by the HSSE Manager prior to communication to the Security Management Committee or any other related committees and all other government agency reports.
  • Ensure anomalies and threats identified within all reports are followed up with corrective action plans and closed out accordingly.
  • Co-ordinate NEOM Port Security operations with the Security Advisory Task Group (SATG) and relevant external agencies.
  • Organize Security/ Committee meetings and ensure records are kept.
  • Keep up to date with security threats and trends to drive a continual improvement of the security system.
  • Ensure that standards for personnel responsible for security are met.
  • Ensure that security equipment is properly operated, tested, calibrated and maintained.
  • Ensure that personnel are prepared in the event or any security incident via a plan of routine drills.
  • Supervise investigation processes related to incidents of a serious nature;
  • Provide supporting services in emergencies;
  • Oversee the preserving of equipment and supplies and checking serviceability by technical resources;
  • Carry out any other functions with the approval of the HSSE Manager at a senior level which come under ISD.
  • On behalf of HSSE Manager, ensure a clear, unbroken flow of communications between NEOM Port and:
  • NEOM Public Safety
  • Government Agencies
  • Port Tenants
  • Other Stakeholders
  • Production of reports and other forms of information for keeping outside agencies informed as appropriate
  • Receiving and passing on information from outside agencies
  • Take command at incidents until senior managers or emergency services arrive
  • Supervision of security duties and distribution of duties
  • Advise the HSSE Manager and relevant Security teams regarding decisions and resolution of issues
  • Responsible for the day to day management personnel shifts and schedules
  • Obtain reports from shift leaders or security men regarding incidents and pass them on to HSSE management; produce reports when appropriate
  • Ensure that all reports and documentation are kept in a secure database which is only accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Responsible for preserving equipment and systems in conjunction with the Security Systems Engineer

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Industrial Security or Marine Engineering.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International.
  • Port Facility Security Officer certification from a recognized body.
  • Must possess qualities of Integrity, patience and empathy, outstanding interpersonal skills, very good communication skills, both oral and written
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Security professional within a recognized company
  • Ability to positively communicate and interact with all levels within NEOM and external Parties
  • Knowledge of Port related Industry
  • Knowledge of HCIS Security best Practice
  • Knowledge of International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code
  • Knowledge of industry best practices
  • Experience of Security Systems of Work
  • IT systems and applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Share Point)
  • Knowledge of Security Incident Investigation and reporting
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (verbal and written)
