Role Responsibilities
- Leading People Operations (inc. payroll, work permits, employee lifecycle, HR Helpdesk, etc) for the Dubai office
- Establishing local HR policies and processes to ensure we remain compliant with local legislation
- Lead the on-boarding, offboarding, life cycle/events processes, payroll processing, benefits administration, work visa applications, new hire orientation and other HR administrative processes
- Overseeing all office related activities, ensuring the office is running smoothly and our employees have the amenities they need in order to be productive
- First point of contact for managers and employees for all local HR related questions on HR programs, policies and other HR related matters
- Lead the development of employee engagement plans and drive increased employee engagement rates in the Dubai office
- Stay abreast of relevant employment legislation, ensuring that policies and practices remain up-to-date and compliant
- Partner with compensation & benefits to ensure that our compensation and benefits offerings are competitive in the local market
- Act as the escalation point for employee relations issues, ensuring cases are dealt with promptly and in line with company policy and relevant employment law.
Role Requirements
- Experience of setting up HR policies and processes in the UAE
- Experience of operating within an international company
- Prior experience in leading a team is preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Fluent communication skills in English
