Role Purpose
The Manager, HRIS partners with HR teams and their customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. He/she also builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning.
Job Accountabilities & Activities
Strategic Planning:
Supporting management on structural policy matters related to the HRIS.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.
Managing and scaling a team of HRIS members to help define and drive the overall HRIS roadmap.
Managing requests for process improvements, system enhancements, and the development and/or purchase of new software applications.
Project Planning:
Manages projects and process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, application operational efficiency, and security.
Conduct and participate in the analysis of workflows and design of functionality and/or improvements to systems, ensuring both process and system requirements are fully identified, evaluated, tested, and implemented.
Identify and troubleshoot system issues and work with others (IT, HR partners, vendors) as needed to bring to resolution.
Designing user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation.
Project Implementation:
Facilitates migration to a unified HRIS if required.
Responsible for the successful implementation, maintenance, operations, and optimization of HR systems and interfaces that are parts of the overall HRIS platform, such as Recruiting/Applicant Tracking System, New Employee Onboarding System, Benefits Administration, Performance Management System, and Learning Management System.
Takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Uses this data to build project plans and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications.
Overseeing all system upgrades and system additions in partnership with the Information Technology (IT) department.
Reporting & Analysis:
Assist with people data analytics and reporting capabilities, ensuring systems are optimized to reduce manual reporting.
Maintaining data integrity in systems by regularly analyzing data.
Compiles or assists with acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs requested by senior executives and HR staff.
Develop dashboards for reporting key metrics
Stakeholder Management:
Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals.
Work with both internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and drive the planning, development, testing, and implementation of the system.
Work closely with payroll, compensation, and benefits team members to ensure accuracy of benefits deductions, status changes, compensation, and time/attendance related issues
Work with leadership to ensure timely implementation and delivery of new functionality and enhancements
Work cross-functionally to understand business needs and provide actionable insights for ongoing customer needs.
Work with stakeholders to create, update and oversee processes and workflows for HRIS systems and implement timely updates as changes occur
Education & Certifications
Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, MIS, Computer Science or related degree with equivalent work experience preferred.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP®) credential preferred.
Required Years of Experience
At least 6 to 7 years related experience required, and at least 1 end-to-end SF implementation.
