Role Purpose

The L&D Transformation and LI Operations Senior Manager role requires working collaboratively with Human Capital COE’s, GS L&D Lead and OpCo Heads of HC’s to design, execute, and lead on organisational change to create a MAF L&D ecosystem. In addition to the transformation role the holder is responsible for the overall running of MAFs Leadership Institute operations, logistics and facilities. The role is to create an environment which naturally fosters a great overall learning and event experience.

Role Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Design and develop process, policy, and organisational and operational structure, to drive the L&D transformation
  • Act as Transformation Lead on key projects, in support of different project workstreams, and manage overall project activities, plans, and schedules associated with deliverables and milestones to deliver on GS KPI’s
  • Develop and measure standard metrics and develop recommendations and road maps across multiple workstreams to drive continuous improvement
  • Support GS L&D in developing people, process, policy, and structure
  • Recommend appropriate new or revised change management tools and practices
  • Leads the operations team to deliver excellent event and course experiences to both internal and external clients and participants
  • Manages shared services across the various schools in the Leadership Institute including Facility management, Facility Planning and Scheduling, Event and Course Delivery, Learning Technology and Reporting
  • Setup, maintain, and improve Leadership Institute operational processes, and ensure adherence to them from the other LI team members
  • Setup and manage of third party vendors to operate the Leadership Institute. Leads the support staff, and contractors, including front desk reception, housekeeping, maintenance, A/V staff, etc.
  • Partners with relevant stakeholders with Majid Al Futtaim, such as GS, IT, Legal, Compliance, etc., provide leadership in all aspects of daily operations
  • Prepares and monitors relevant budgets and project schedules to ensure current and long-term goals and objectives are fully met within fiscal, time, and other resource constraints
  • Participates in meetings, committees, and events related to advancing the Leadership Institute’s operations, facilities and infrastructure.

Minimum Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR with a focus L&D.
  • At least 5 years management experience of skilled team members.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relevant strategic HR methodologies, including organisational design techniques.
  • Extensive experience in leading Learning & Development activities across all levels of an organization, including eLearning.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing Learning & Development frameworks.
  • Budget management experience is a must
