As a Head of commercial sector in KSA, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive growth and shape the future of an emerging technology and business. Your responsibilities will include building and managing a highly talented field and inside sales teams focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will possess a sales management and technical background that enables them to recruit, develop, and lead a team of Named Account Managers that geographically covers a large region, while driving business-building activities around sales strategy, customer service, working alongside partners, and business operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with the MENAT and Global AWS Leadership to craft and execute a robust growth strategy for KSA.
  • Drive AWS adoption and market share in the territory
  • Meet or exceed quarterly growth targets
  • Manage key, strategic accounts, and customer engagements
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
  • Accelerate customer adoption
  • Maintain a robust customer pipeline through effective management and growth of the AWS KSA team
  • Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and Engage in PR and other activities to represent the company across the KSA
  • Hire, build, manage and mentor a sales team.
  • Develop and execute against a strategic territory sales plan that addresses activities for capillarity at territory markets.
  • Lead internal projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research and strategic development.
  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.
  • Required experience at infrastructure/services IT companies.

Focus and Deliverables for the First 12 Months

  • Broaden AWS reach by expanding its presence in KSA and accelerate growth through Partners and strategic customers.
  • Increase awareness and education about AWS in KSA, including at CxO level within the Enterprise segment, leveraging Marketing and PR

The Candidate Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

General management background, coupled with significant sales / business development leadership experience

  • Ability to drive an engagement and interact with C-Level executives, while also developing strong sales leaders who can do the same
  • Understanding of start-ups, mid-market, small enterprise, large enterprise, channel partners, cloud, and e-commerce
  • A self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.
  • A demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about sales, business, product, and technical challenges, coupled with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus
  • A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Significant sales management experience in the IT industry.
  • Direct field experience working with multinational enterprise accounts.
  • Extensive customer network in the KSA.
  • Strong leadership skills, outcome oriented thinking.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in Arabic.
  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
