Overview

Operate control rooms of DSO and monitor, identify, document and investigate any inconsistencies that affect the safety and security of employees, facilities, products and any other assetsKey Accountabilities And ActivitiesPlanning and Delivery

  • Plan, establish and manage a new integrated approach to operation and maintenance for DSO in order to meet NEOM’s ambitious vision
  • Responsible for all Control Room development phases such as preparation of operational philosophy and scope, specifications, vendor management, data and system interfaces, project execution inclusive of putting it into operation, and later on design of processes and performance metrics and staffing.
  • Manage the delivery of direct services to customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and reliability in responding to faults, emergencies, security, service, maintenance and general enquiries
  • Help plan and establish a new Control Room Operation for DSO storage and networks
  • Implement, monitor and manage a planning framework, based on short, medium, and long-term control room operational delivery requirements
  • Devise and implement tools and techniques to ensure the efficient and effective planning and delivery of NEOM power to customers
  • Identify and progress suggestions and opportunities for process improvements which will enhance service delivery, seeking efficiencies and improvement at all times
  • Monitor industry standards and technological advances, to ensure NEOM Energy is at the leading edge of control room development and delivery
  • Manage the preparation of effective monthly reports to ensure a clear overview of progress against objectives and budget
  • Ensure the effective management and allocation of workload to meet safety and service delivery requirements, identifying and addressing any resourcing issues as required

Monitor Plant Operations

  • Monitor all DSO network operations via digital systems to identify any abnormal operating and equipment conditions
  • Detect troubleshoots and repairs the equipment to ensure it’s on track and minimize safety risks and economic losses
  • Track and record the status of the operational system using applicable journals and control system tools

Standards and Guidance

  • Ensure the effective management and allocation of workload to meet safety and service delivery requirements, identifying and addressing any resourcing issues as required
  • Ensure that effective measures are in place for staff instruction, training and competency, and supervision to attain the highest standards in service delivery and lead actions and activity to enhance employee engagement

Partnerships

  • Ensure effective working relationships and communications with TSO Control Room and other internal operational teams
  • Ensure that strong relationships are built between the team and our customers, in order that there is a clear understanding of their needs and any concerns which are to be addressed timeously

People Management

  • Organize and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy
  • Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in control room operational management role and working in a high-pressure Control Room environment and customer centric background
  • Fully IT literate with an ability to embrace new systems and technology quickly
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, a focus on efficiency, and enhanced multitasking abilities, combined with a “can-do” mentality are essential
  • Proven track record of delivering outcomes with strong ability to prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic and changing environment
  • Experience in financial evaluation, work practices, risk management, statutory and regulatory compliance and cost control of projects
  • Ability to analyze and understand research and to identify relevant and valuable information
  • Able to determine the actions, risks and end results required
  • Ability to respond appropriately in unplanned and unforeseen circumstances
  • Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic environment
  • High thoroughness and reliability and ability to deliver quality output
  • Strong presentation skills, presentation preparation and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in relevant engineering discipline
